The main door is a 9’ square panel that pivots at 3’ from the east edge. The panel weighs about 550# & is supported by a tapered roller bearing (a front outer wheel bearing fitting a mid ‘70’s Chevy Camaro) The bearing race is set in a machined section of 1 1/2” pipe & the cone slips over a 3/4” solid steel pin. The wood is eucalyptus from the eucalyptus project of 2000.
